                                            MOVING PICTURES WITH SOUND

Peters' Productions started this music videography history  with VHS video over 30 years ago with a large bulky Panasonic under Peters' Productions. The bulky 2 piece camera and recorder made by  Panasonic did do the job of capturing the moment. Some of the footage was shot by Malika Shabazz and Joanna Chevalier. I have footage of  a major female vocalist doing talent shows, These recordings included Houston Festivals
with some of the great Hispanic White and Black contributions to Jazz back in the day (early 80's). This includes recordings of Nelson Mills (above) as well as Jimmy Ford , GT Hogan, Don Wilkerson, Kido Zapata, Luis Gasca, Harold Austin, Horace Grigsby with Bob Henschen, Mr. Anthony Brock and Carl Lott(@ Cezzane')

Gospel was at one time amalgamated on the Houston Festival Stage. Such artists as the Apex Gospel  Singers were interposed with great Jazz acts similar to the festivals that featured Mahalia Jackson .

At the Houston Festival ,the magnificent Jim Black would go from Gospel to jazz with fluidity.  Only AT THE HOUSTON FESTIVALS.

We first recorded ACID JAZZ in the 80;s Peters' Productions was the first to record Woman's Rap

Here below we see Eugenia Woodard  singing Gospel,

before their rap was recorded. Other Hip Hop companies were in the process of  recording groups like the Ghetto Boys. The recordings were  under Kimberly Records with the main  artist being Eugenia Woodard. The unlabeled LP spawned Public Enemy with its raw assessments of politics and its attacks on the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela, as well as protests about Crack sales in Black Communities under an obvious coordination.

Since that time we have recorded artists recording songs played in major movies such as City Of Angels (Further Up the Road).

We have promoted gratis the likes of Tex Allen

Prior to all this hayday I was under the tutorial of Ed Artis and Toma Sita Lewis . It was under Toma Sita's loving direction that I began formal training in Gospel Directing Voicing- 4 parts. Most choirs do three parts . Baritone Bass, Tenor act as one due to most Gospel choirs having such poor male participation. This also usually included Altos as second and Sopranos being first.  Of course if the choir is large enough the Sopranos are broken up into 2 parts.

The environment allowed me time to think about the possibility of amalgamating straight ahead improvised jazz with Gospel lyrics, or the Word of God being read during the performance of Straight-ahead solos as Spoken Word.. My ultimate goal is to get Nancy Wilson and others to sing lead to new Gazz arrangements including Big Band.

Symphonic Music was not created to insight royalty to dance. Since Boston Pops the popular music has been scored to satisfy not only the aristocratic man but the working man also, or at least his children. Nevertheless even with introduction of popular songs and arrangements to Symphony -like instrumentation, people sat down.

Like Jazz both have dead composers and survivors who keep the music alive. Both require funding to stay quickened, but one is treated as a bastard child. Both have versions that should be sat down without participatory dancing.

The implementation of  Gazz was accomplished with the help of Lloyd Hughes at the Power House Studios owned by Richard Mosby MD. Below you can hear a sample  Here is a clip if the amalgamation called GAZZ which was NOT WRITTEN TO DANCE TO. Notice the difference in what used to be played in certain places with women scantly clpaad was rt of this culture which was in part how the music lost its boundaries.of one the tracks done to a very popular Lee Morgan tune entitled Mr. Kenyatta taught to me by "One Arm" Willie and or Harold Atterberrry (both of St. Louisians) who did teach me Ceora both by Lee Morgan.
Yet Symphonic Musicians are adapting to play popular music which does not promote participatory dancing from the audience, but does have a modern dance ballet performed in front. This is not unlike Ellington's music shows at the Cotton Club revealing legs kicking to "start the show". Neither encouraged audience dancing but was part of a show.

This is a recent clip of the Houston Symphony directed by  Andries Orosco-Estrada
doing orchestrated popular music with 2 dancers out front which did not encourage dancing in the aisles.  So we have a real problem not having a supportive audience of paying subscribers to watch a jazz performance. this is why it must go back in the church.

Joe Medwick Veasey

allowed me to peek into the world of Don Robey with recordings of his history. In the process we co-wrote If I Don't Get Involved I Won"t Get Hurt which was a warning to anyone with ANY addiction. Contrary to what is written in most archives, we preceded any interest by Blacktop Records. We did conicide with Grady GAINES

This is the label of Peters' Productions.

The more I hear it the more I realize that it was a testimony against alcohol addiction by Joe Medwick Veasey. This was recorded by Bobby "Blues Boy" Bland

We developed a one man act with the help of the Yamaha corporation and The WHOLE TRINITY of God

In addition there have been many questions answered as to the scientific nature of things. Look at this wasp study below filmed at 3817 Gertin over 4 months. Here we put it to music .

We have been proud to be associated with the great Chris Mcmillan learning all the  nuances of the instrumental and vocal Gospel idiom. Below we see him giving Vocal Lessons

For now we have generations of great talent and I will attempt to give you some of it with this blog.

Currently I am working with several institutions doing live streaming of their events. If you are interested please call or text me at 832-904-1739. I also can assist in storyboard clip formations  that can initiate and complete your video projects, documentaries and  movies. I continue to perform as a pianist, vocalist, writer, producer, scorer, saxophonist. flautist, percussionist and agent.
I have accumulated  enough videographic data to write a book on other subjects such as physics. It will be dealing with phenomenology of light  demonstrated below.

We have been doing a series of Bible Studies called Bibleboost involving discussions and ways to practice truth from the Bible in a multilingual evangelist way

Note that these Chinese Characters can be read  if the video is paused.

Currently I am learning to continue to be patient and continue Bibleboost as a series of short sermonets performed by Manson B Johnson Gerald Hines and others.

Through it all I owned 5 Urgent Medical Clinics from the 80s through 2006.   Anticipating selling them they were valuated then put up for sale in the Wall Street Journal. Soon thereafter there was a violent takeover in spite of NO GOVERNMENT BILLING by the clinics. I was forced into sabbatical.  I am still recovering financially.

Nevertheless my company  owns a Trademarked , copyrighted software that is artificially intelligent called Advanced Miscellaneous Informatic Education (AMIE). It functions to compare disparate information and find similarities with antithetical relationships. This is valuable for document preparation and book writing for new insights into you present data collection including music harmonics and counterpunctual melodies. It is currently leased to several institutions.

If you have historical projects or current projects you are interested in studying, documenting, analyzing  or promoting call me. Our rates are reasonable.

You can email me at  832.904.1739,  pete4doc@gmail.com and or snail mail at PO Box 14615, Houston TX 77221.

With all that said I will reach back and reach forward to make this blog interesting with God's help

These are 2 of my favorite artists to look at  in concert  at without dancing .
