With a business model for few gifts to musicians who perform I present a product to reckon with. It could be  paid for rehearsals.   The justification and quantification of gifts could be by the applause from a loyal audience . That goes without saying that the crowd bent on the music will be the best judge of quality  at a certain club and not management of the club RE artists who perform. Payment may come in the form gift certificates  to be redeemed later. It would only increase the business.
